Helping homeless and socially abandoned at West End
admin : May 27th, 2016

A new charity Not-for-Profit organisation has been recently launched in Brisbane and Davies Park Market are happy to offer a helping hand. The Brisbane Period Project supports women and transgender men experiencing homelessness with sanitary products and they will have their first stall at West End this Saturday May 28. If you have any sanitary products to spare, please, bring them to the Market as they will be distributed among people in need.

The BPP are a registered not-for profit charity and collect donations from the general public of all sanitary products including Pads, Tampons, Liners, Baby Wipes, Scented Disposable Bags and small bottles of Hand Sanitisers.

These are then placed into one of our five Period Packs which are then sent to many organisations they support around Brisbane who work directly with people experiencing homelessness. They also do outreach work on the streets with many of those organisations.
